Description

The Leckstar 101/Ex relay for JOLA leak detectors is designed for limit level signalling. They shall be installed in a control cabinet or other suitable protective enclosure. The switches are suitable for use in clean environments.

  • with cable disconnect control and switchable self-hold
  • for connection of 1 conductor Ex electrode with cable break monitoring unit Z6V2
  • with 1 potential-free switching contact at the output

Conductive electrode relay Ex for U-rail mounting or surface mounting, with connection terminals on top and 3 built-in LEDs to indicate operating conditions.

The unit is designed to be installed or mounted in a suitable protective enclosure outside potentially explosive atmospheres and can therefore only be installed in these locations.

It is only suitable for use in clean environments. Leckstar 101 / Ex I (M1) / II (1) GD [Ex ia Ma] I / [Ex ia Ga] IIC / [Ex ia Da] The IIIC is designed to transmit control commands from an intrinsically safe control current circuit to a non-isolated safe active current circuit.

It must be installed outside explosion areas in accordance with the relevant standards and regulations. Ex-approved conductive electrodes such as our Ex conductive plate, rod, suspension or cable electrodes can be used in a safe control circuit via the mandatory Ex junction box OAK/LST/2x1MΩ II 2 G Ex ia IIC T6 Gb.

The different application options and specific conditions for safe use are described in the relevant installation, operation and maintenance instructions (sent on request).

Self-hold:

  • If the Self-hold switch is activated, an alarm is stored. The relay continues to signal the alarm even if the cause of the alarm (e.g. presence of water or cable break) is no longer present – in other words, if the sensor is dry again or if the line is in contact. The alarm is acknowledged by switching off the self-hold switch.
  • If the self-hold switch is not switched on, the alarm will not be maintained when the cause of the alarm is eliminated, but will be interrupted.

Before use, we recommend viewing the attached pdf documents under the Documentation tab.
