PGS23.100 Bourdon pressure gauge with switchable contacts WIKA

Description

The PGS23.100 Bourdon pressure gauge with WIKA switching contacts is used for monitoring differential pressures, the instrument allows switching and display.

The PGS23.1×0 models are useful wherever process pressure needs to be specified locally and circuits need to be switched at the same time.

The switch contacts (electrical switch contacts) make or break the electrical control circuit depending on the position of the pointer of the indicating instrument. The switch contacts are adjustable over the full range of the dial (see DIN 16085) and are located mainly under the dial, but also partly on the top of the dial. The instrument pointer (actual value indicator) moves freely over the full scale range, independent of the setting. You can adjust the set cursor using the removable adjustment key in the window.

You can also set multiple contacts to a single set point. The contact is triggered when the actual value pointer moves above or below the desired set point.

The pressure gauge is manufactured in accordance with DIN 16085 and meets all the requirements of the relevant standards (EN 837-1) and regulations for the on-site indication of the working pressure of pressure vessels.

Magnetic contacts, reed switches, inductive contacts and electronic contacts are available as switch contacts. Inductive contacts can be used in hazardous areas (Ex). Electronic contacts and reed switches can be used to trigger programmable logic controllers (PLCs).

Accessories

The new WIKA pressure measurement system is an EMICO emission meter that ensures the safety of people and the environment in critical processes. The system consists of pressure gauges of models 2xx.30 in the safety version or S-3 in accordance with EN 837-1 (S3) and a valve to prevent fugitive emissions:

• IVM stop and vent valve with WIKA flange
• IV10 needle valve for WIKA pressure gauges
• IV11 multiport needle valve for WIKA pressure gauges
• IV20 shut-off and vent valve for WIKA pressure gauges
• IV21 shut-off and vent valve for WIKA pressure gauges

The measuring instrument and the valve are connected by a lightweight swivel adapter with a special sealing packing. The system is leak tested in accordance with TA Luft (VDI 2440) for fugitive emissions. The EMICO system measures pressures from 0 to 420 bar or 6000 psi. In the event of a failure due to high overpressure, the S-3 safety version protects the user from injury.

The compact measuring system can be started up immediately after delivery. The free rotating swivel adapter allows 360° positioning of the display and easy disassembly of the measuring instrument (in case calibration is required). In accordance with ISO 15848-1 and TA-Luft, S-3 pressure gauges can be combined with top valves in a fugitive design to form EMICO gauges.
