Description

Wire thermocouples are made of insulated solid thermocouple wires and are therefore subject to the accuracy class of SIST EN 60584-1 as given in the standard, but only when used within the specified temperature range.

The insulated version means that the thermocouple (the joint itself) is protected in a protective tube and insulated from the housing.

To achieve Class 1 accuracy, wire thermocouples may be used within the insulation range or a maximum range of -25 … +200 °C. Outside this range, the accuracy classes given are no longer valid, but use is still possible within the temperature limits of the insulation.

The wire thermocouples are laser welded in a controlled environment, so they are not contaminated with other metals or compounds.

IMPORTANT: in case of extension, use only the compensation cable, connectors and electrical terminals of the same thermocouple! All available as accessories, please ask.

Use

Wired thermocouples are often used in combination with portable meters, calibrators, dataloggers and similar equipment. They are also popular for use in temperature control of tools, products, furnaces and validation.

Calibration

Temperature sensors can be calibrated after manufacture and supplied with an accredited calibration certificate.

All temperature sensors can be made to your specifications and requirements. The most common designs are presented on the website, but in practice, production is mainly made to order. Call or email us and we will help you determine/choose the most suitable implementation for you based on your process requirements. Standard delivery time is 3 working days, urgent deliveries within 24 hours (emergency) are possible.
