Description

The PG23LT pressure gauge with bourdon tube from WIKA is used for pressure measurement of gaseous and liquid media.

The PG23LT model of the high-quality POLARgauge® has been specially designed for extremely low ambient temperatures down to -70 °C. The stainless steel pressure gauge is used in particularly cold regions such as Russia, Canada, Scandinavia or China.

The PG23LT pressure gauge is mainly used in the oil and gas and petrochemical industries. Typical measuring points are found on pipelines or in oil and gas pumping stations.

The PG23LT is suitable for outdoor use up to an ambient temperature of -70 °C, thanks to its special low-temperature design, the use of special seals and the filling of the housing.

The same instrument design meets IP66 and IP67 ingress protection requirements at ranges greater than 0… 40 bar.

Proof of the instrument’s suitability for ambient temperatures down to -70 °C has been provided by the in-house laboratory and can be confirmed by test report 2.2.

Accessories

The new WIKA pressure measurement system is an EMICO emission meter that ensures the safety of people and the environment in critical processes. The system consists of pressure gauges of models 2xx.30 in the safety version or S-3 in accordance with EN 837-1 (S3) and a valve to prevent fugitive emissions:

• IVM stop and vent valve with WIKA flange
• IV10 needle valve for WIKA pressure gauges
• IV11 multiport needle valve for WIKA pressure gauges
• IV20 shut-off and vent valve for WIKA pressure gauges
• IV21 shut-off and vent valve for WIKA pressure gauges

The measuring instrument and the valve are connected by a lightweight swivel adapter with a special sealing packing. The system is leak tested in accordance with TA Luft (VDI 2440) for fugitive emissions. The EMICO system measures pressures from 0 to 420 bar or 6000 psi. In the event of a failure due to high overpressure, the S-3 safety version protects the user from injury.

The compact measuring system can be started up immediately after delivery. The free rotating swivel adapter allows 360° positioning of the display and easy disassembly of the measuring instrument (in case calibration is required). In accordance with ISO 15848-1 and TA-Luft, S-3 pressure gauges can be combined with top valves in a fugitive design to form EMICO gauges.
