HMW/1/ JOLA magnetic level switch

Description

The HMW/1/ JOLA magnetic level switch is used for automatic level control, level indication, limit/point level detection, as an emptying protection or as an overfill protection in swimming pools. consists of a casing that can be attached to the hose by means of a clamp. It consists of a terminal and a microswitch. Moving the magnet along the tube activates the microswitch, creating an electric circuit. These units are not suitable for use on vibrating machines or in places where they are subject to shock or vibration.

Mode of operation

The magnetic switches HMW/3/ .. and HMW/1/ .. are housed in a housing that can be attached to the pipe by means of a hose clamp attached to the housing. The housing shall contain a terminal and a microswitch; a magnet shall be attached to the arm of the microswitch. When the magnetic switch is fitted, the magnet on the microswitch arm is activated by the magnet moving up and down the tube, this changes the position of the microswitch arm and a closed electrical circuit is formed. Magnetic switches have so-called bistable properties; i.e. they remain in a switching state caused by the passing influence of the magnet and only switch when the magnet goes in the opposite direction.

Accommodation

To avoid damage to the hose clamp of the HMW/ … magnetic switch, it is important to open the lock carefully, never suddenly and never by force. This applies in particular to the PP hose clamp for outer pipe diameters of 30 to 32 mm. We recommend that the ends of the hose clamps are opened only enough to fit the diameter of the hose. The best way to install the clamp is to press the slightly open ends of the clamp hose lightly against the hose.
