Description

423.12 The WIKA diaphragm manometer is preferably used for low pressure areas. Through the large working area of the circular, corrugated diaphragm element, small pressure ranges can be reliably measured.

Membrane pressure gauges are manufactured in accordance with EN 837-3. The robust design makes it particularly suitable for use in mechanical engineering, plant construction and the water and wastewater industries. The upper measuring flange with housing and the lower measuring flange are made of one cast iron part.

The instrument is used to measure gaseous and liquid media that will not attack cast steel. For the measurement of highly viscous, crystallising or contaminated media, the use of an open connection flange is recommended. An open connection flange is preferred over a threaded connection so that the pressure connection cannot be blocked. The pressure chamber can be easily cleaned with an additional flushing connection on the open connection flange.

Metering systems with diaphragm elements offer good overload protection by design, as the diaphragm can rest on the top flange. Diaphragm pressure gauges already have a standard overload protection of 3 times full scale. Optionally, greater safety against overloading can be achieved.
