ESA 2 alarm relay JOLA

Description

The ESA 2 alarm relay JOLA is designed for limit level signalling (sensor 1) or for two-point monitoring (sensor 2). They shall be installed in a control cabinet or other suitable protective enclosure. The switches are suitable for use in clean environments.

Electronic alarm relay for mounting or mounting on DIN rail via 2 drill holes, with connection terminals on top of the housing and with 1 built-in two-colour LED to indicate the corresponding switching status.

This unit is designed to be mounted or installed in a switch box in a suitable protective enclosure and can therefore only be installed in these locations. It is only suitable for use in clean environments.

The design of the electrode alarm relay is based on the quiescent current principle, in other words, an alarm signal is given if there is no connection between terminals 7 and 8; the 2 NC output contacts of the unit also return to the alarm state if the supply voltage fails.

In standby mode (the unit is supplied with voltage and a connection between terminals 7 and 8), both potential-free output contacts are in the activated state (= open) and the two-colour LED is green.

In case of alarm (unit energised and no connection between terminals 7 and 8), the potential-free NC output contacts are in an inactive state (= closed) and the two-colour LED flashes red.

Output relay 1 can be reset with the built-in acknowledge button or the connected external acknowledge button (connection option on terminals 4 and 5) to cancel an alarm transmitted via this output. The LED then stops flashing and returns to solid red.
