Description

The NR 5/G electrode relay JOLA is designed for automatic level control or signalling with conductive liquids.

An on-off delay of between 0.5 and 3 seconds, depending on the conductivity of the medium, makes the units insensitive to short contacts (e.g. due to splashing) and short contact breaks.

Mode of operation

Jola electronic relays are used for automatic control of pumps or solenoid valves, and overflow or dry-out protection in wells or tanks with conductive liquids. The liquid level is controlled by electrodes that give commands to switch to an electronic relay if they come into contact with the liquid. For a two-point control system, you need two control electrodes and one earth electrode. If you only want to signal the liquid level, the E1 control electrode and the earth electrode are sufficient. Instead of a ground electrode, you can also use the conductive metal wall of the tank as a ground connection. However, in all cases we recommend using a separate earthing electrode.
