DPT-20 WIKA Differential Process Transducer

Description

The WIKA DPT-20 differential process transducer is suitable for a wide range of measurements in demanding operating ranges. It features high accuracy with a choice of housing. The operating menu and the operation of the converter are simple. The free configuration is done via the DTM (Device Type Manager) and is in line with the FDT (Field Device Tool) concept (e.g. PACTware).

Compliance with specific safety requirements

The WIKA DPT-20 differential process transmitter has HART®, PROFIBUS® PA, FOUNDATION Fieldbus™ and 4 … 20 mA output signals. It is protected against ignition by its own safety or fire protection. It is the combination of these features that makes it ideal for applications where these system conditions are required. It is suitable for use in plants with special safety requirements, as it complies with SIL (Safety Integrated Level) IEC 61508.

The DPT-20 is suitable for many industrial measurements:

• flow measurement using differential pressure transducers
• measuring levels in open or closed tanks
• filter and pump monitoring

With diaphragm seals installed, the DPT-20 differential pressure transmitter is suited for demanding process conditions. Due to the available measuring ranges from -0 … +10 mbar to -16 … +16 bar and static pressure with an upper limit of up to 420 bar.

In-house digital signal processing combined with proven sensors guarantees high accuracy and long-term stability.

Choice of enclosures

The DPT-20 offers a choice of seven different enclosures, depending on the suitability of the application for the specific working environment. The housing can be rotated by 330°. Available in plastic, aluminium or stainless steel. For high demanding applications in the pharmaceutical and food industries, it is supplied in a 316 L steel electro-polished housing.

Easy configuration and management

Service and configuration of the inverter is carried out with the selected display and process module. It can be positioned in four different positions.

The operating menu has a simple and clear design. There is a choice of language.

The operating parameters can be set using the free and publicly available PACTware™ configuration software. The DTM allows the inverter to be easily integrated into the associated control systems.
