Flue gas analysis in industrial plants often has to be carried out under extreme conditions, for example:

at high temperatures
high humidity
high dust content in the flue gases

Emission measurements are carried out in resource- and energy-intensive processes that produce large quantities of emissions such as carbon monoxide (CO), carbon dioxide (CO2), oxides of nitrogen (NOX) or sulphur dioxide (SO2).
