ZKG 420 JOLA continuous level switch

Description

The ZKG 420 continuous level switch JOLA is suitable for monitoring/signalling or continuous adjustment of the liquid level.The ZKG 420 serves as a two-point control device, between two defined limit values. One possible use is to regulate the level between two threshold levels in a rainwater tank and to secure water supplies for freshwater storage.

Switching unit for U-duct or surface mounting, with connection terminals on top, 2 encoders and integrated level feeder. This switching unit is designed to be installed or mounted in a switch box in a suitable protective enclosure and therefore cannot be installed in other locations. It is only suitable for use in clean environments.

Mode of operation

The ZKG 420 is suitable for supplying a two-wire level indicator for a 4 … 20 mA loop current signal. The level indicator is connected to the + 24 V and I terminal of the ZKG 420.

Additional SKG 420, ZKG 420 or VKG 420-1020 switchgear units can be installed in the current loop (terminal I and GND).

Two encoder switches can be used to set the limit value for the on point and the limit value for the off point in a range from 0 to 99% (two-point control).

If the input value is below the set lower limit value, the output relay is energised.

If the input value is above the set upper limit value, the output relay is not energised (quiescent current principle).

The values above the two switching points and the activation of the output relay are indicated by three LEDs.

Use

The ZKG 420 switching unit supplies a two-wire level indicator for a 4 … 20 mA loop current signal. If necessary, the liquid signal (4 … 20 mA) of the liquid level indicator can be displayed via the ammeter. The ZKG 420 switching unit serves as a two-point control device between two set limit values. One possible application is to regulate the level between the two boundary levels of a rainwater harvesting tank to ensure water storage through freshwater storage.
