TSK 4-20/E JOLA continuous level gauge

Description

The TSK 4-20/E JOLA continuous level gauge is suitable for monitoring or continuously adjusting the liquid level. The meter consists of a sensor and a transmitter. It is designed for use in low viscosity liquids in closed or open containers. Not suitable for use in liquids that are constantly moving. The float magnet causes a change in resistance via another magnet, a transmission chain, a gear and a potentiometer. This ensures a continuous height measurement signal.

Mode of operation

A float with a permanent magnet fitted moves up and down the probe tube of the TSK 4-20 / … level indicator with the liquid level. Inside the probe tube, a second magnet is mounted in the larger of the two guide tubes and circulates in an endless chain. The magnet follows the floating magnet and thus the liquid level. This in turn moves the endless chain, which then acts on the potentiometer via a gear in the junction box of the TSK 4-20 / …. level indicator. This results in a continuous measurement of the height of the proportional resistance.
The change in resistance resulting from the up and down movement of the float is recorded and converted to a load-independent current of 4 … 20 mA via a transmitter in the terminal box of the TSK 4-20 / … level indicator.

Use

The TSK 4-20 / … level indicator is designed for use in low viscosity or low solids liquids in open or closed tanks. Not suitable for use in liquids prone to sedimentation, adhesion or crystallisation which could impede the movement of the float on the probe tube. It is also not suitable for use in liquids with permanently moving surfaces and/or on vibrating machines.
