TSQ 4-20/ED/E8/7.5 JOLA continuous level meter

Description

The TSQ 4-20/ED/E8/7.5 JOLA continuous level gauge is suitable for monitoring or continuously adjusting the liquid level. The meter consists of a sensor and a transmitter. It is designed for use in low viscosity liquids in closed or open containers. Not suitable for use in liquids that are constantly moving. The float magnet activates the resistance via the reed contacts (Reed). This provides an apparent height of the measurement signal.

Mode of operation

A float with a permanent magnet is moved up and down the TSQ 4-20 level gauge tube / …. with the fluid level.

Inside the tube is a chain consisting of reed contacts and resistors connected in series. A magnet in the float switches the reed contacts, which are in the same position as the float. The result is a quasi-continuous resistance measurement proportional to height.

The change in resistance resulting from the up and down movement of the float is recorded via a current loop transmitter in the TSQ 4-20 / … and is converted into a load-independent current of 20 mA.

Use

The TSQ 4-20 / … level gauge is designed for use in low viscosity or low solids liquids in open or closed tanks. Not suitable for use in liquids prone to sedimentation, adhesion or crystallisation which could impede the movement of the float in the gauge tube. It is also not suitable for use in liquids with permanently moving surfaces and/or on vibrating machines.
