PyroCAN infrared (IR) temperature sensor with CAN Bus CALEX interface

Description

The PyroCAN series of infrared (IR) temperature sensors with CAN Bus interface are designed for non-contact surface temperature measurement. The temperature is transmitted digitally every 200 ms via the CAN interface.

The CAN sensor ID and emission setting can be changed with the CAN command. The sensor is suitable for measuring a variety of non-metallic surfaces including painted materials, rubber, plastics, asphalt, soils, plants, organic materials, food and pharmaceuticals. Metals can be measured if they are coloured or heavily oxidised. PyroCAN is easy to connect to existing networks with other CAN devices.

Examples of use

Car testing

During testing, several sensors can be placed at different locations around the vehicle to monitor the surface temperature of the engine blocks, suspension components, belts and exhaust gases.

 

Industrial and agricultural vehicles

PyroCAN enables temperature monitoring on vehicles in industry and agriculture. The process temperature can be accurately monitored without contact, and different parts of the vehicle can be monitored with the same sensor.
