MFD MOLOSmembrane Mollet level membrane switch

Description

The MFD double diaphragm level switch is used for level measurement in containers or silos in a wide range of industries. It can be used as a full, empty or demand sensing indicator for bulk (bulk material) in small and medium sized containers with grain sizes up to a maximum of 30 mm. The IP rating of the housing is IP65. The simple design of this sensor provides a reliable and cost-effective solution for automatic level indication.

The MOLOSmembrane series level switches are based on a very simple and ingenious level measurement principle. They are used to measure the bulk level of solids (bulk material) and are the ideal solution for many applications as no sensor part extends into the bin or silo.

With various options, the sensors can be optimally configured even for very harsh operating conditions. The low-cost switches offer automatic level measurement with high energy efficiency. No auxiliary or special power cables are needed to operate the MF-sensors. In addition, the switches are easy to install and operate.

Use of MFD

The MFD is an IP65 rated diaphragm limit switch, as the pressure compensation is performed by a double diaphragm. In powdered, granular and coarse-grained bulk materials, the MFD detects each required level reliably and accurately. It is therefore used in a variety of applications:

• High level indicator in the fine/fine sand container
• emptiness indicator in silos filled with plastic granulate
• level control in flour silos of large bakeries
• congestion control in the bleached pulp screw conveyor
