CTR2000 WIKA precision thermometer

Description

The WIKA CTR2000 precision thermometer is used as a reference instrument for testing, regulation and calibration of temperature measuring instruments.

The CTR2000 precision thermometer has two versions: one version accepts only 4-wire PRTs, the other version accepts both 3- and 4-wire PRTs.

Digital high-performance 2- or 8-channel, 3- and 4-wire precision thermometers are suitable for use with calibrated and uncalibrated Pt100 sensors. They feature extended features for high usability and low lifetime costs.
When using calibrated sensors with the CTR2000 series of precision thermometers, you can choose between storing the calibration data in the instrument’s memory or in the sensor’s own SMART connector. The calibration data remains permanently with the sensor in this connector, which is instantly recognised by the CTR2000 series of precision thermometers, ensuring the best possible accuracy.

With the built-in calibration routine, you can recalibrate the instrument range using a calibrated, traceable reference resistor. This function is password protected. When using SMART sensors, other functions such as a temperature control programme and a calibration status monitor were also included for the CTR2000 range.

The temperature monitor continuously monitors the temperature of the SMART sensors and if any of them is used outside the defined operating range, the sensor history record is updated. In this way, it is possible to check at a glance whether the sensors have ever been used outside the calibrated range, as this may affect the validity of their calibration. The calibration status monitor alerts you with an on-screen message when the SMART sensor needs to be recalibrated.
