Description

The SS/PTFE 55/A floating switch (float) JOLA is designed for vertical or horizontal mounting for liquid level signalling. The level switch has a gold-plated internal switching contact, which ensures long and reliable switch life and operation. To ensure correct switching, the cable must be fixed at the required height by means of a process introducer, for example in the case of fixing from the side, or by means of a weight, for example in the case of fixing from above.

These units are not suitable for use in turbulent liquids (e.g. in mixing tanks). The float is rated IP68. The maximum immersion depth of the float is 10 m of water at +20 °C. The switch can be ordered in two versions: the SS/PTFE 55/A 1/K with gold-plated contact and the SS/PTFE 55/A 3/K with AgNi contact for AC/DC voltage of 24 V. The 1/K is used for smaller currents and works reliably even after years of operation. 3/K is the most commonly used as it allows higher voltages (up to 250 V) for standard applications. Both versions are PTFE white, 3 x 0.75 cable with 2 m length (lengths available on request).
