Description

S-11 Pressure transducer for viscous and solid media WIKA is a device that detects pressure and converts it into an electrical signal, the quantity depending on the pressure or the fluid.

Expert for viscous and particulate-laden media
The S-11 pressure transducer model with flushing diaphragm has been specifically designed to measure viscous, pasty, adhesive, crystallising, particulate laden and contaminated media that would clog the pressure channel of conventional process connections.
With its optimised design, the flushing connection allows cleaning with a soaked membrane integrated into the process. Maintenance-free and trouble-free pressure measurement is thus guaranteed even in critical applications with frequently changed media.
High precision, robust design, quality workmanship and great flexibility of configuration are the key features of the S-11.

Linking the rinsing process
All process connections of the pressure transducer for flushing are made of stainless steel, fully welded and separate the medium from the pressure measuring instrument with a positive seal. This ensures a reliable, dead-space-free seal between the process connection and the measuring medium.
For high medium temperatures up to 150 °C, the pressure transmitter is also available with an integrated cooling element.
For the food and beverage industry, a version with an internal liquid filling system in accordance with FDA 21 CFR 178.3750 can be selected.
