PyroMiniUSB miniature infrared (IR) temperature sensor CALEX

Description

PyroMiniUSB is a miniature infrared sensor that measures the temperature of solids or liquids contactlessly. It can measure non-metallic surfaces between -20 °C and 1000 °C, with a response time of only 125 ms. It is suitable for measuring materials such as paper, plastic, rubber, food and organic materials and even painted metals and the dirtiest, rusty or greasy surfaces can be measured accurately, safely and cleanly.

A choice of optics is available for measuring small or large targets at distances from a few millimetres to tens of metres. It has a robust stainless steel housing, IP65-rated and built to withstand ambient temperatures up to 75°C. PyroMiniUSB is ideal for teaching scientific concepts such as emissivity, reflectivity, thermal conductivity, energy transfer, insulation and internal energy.
