Description

The PyroCube S, F infrared (IR) temperature sensor from CALEX is a high-speed sensor with fast response time, small target point and LED spot illumination of the measurement point. The response time of the infrared temperature sensor is 1 ms with a minimum measurement point size of 1.6 mm.

The fast-response PyroCube temperature sensor is supplied in combination with the PM030 touchscreen display. The infrared temperature sensor is ideal for temperature measurement in the plastics industry, cable manufacturing, PCB testing as well as in the food industry.

Examples of use

Cable manufacturing

It is now possible to monitor the temperature of the insulation and cladding as they are applied to very narrow cables, avoiding manufacturing errors and ensuring a highly reproducible product quality.

 

Plastics industry

Extrusion of plastic tubes and profiles requires temperature control to ensure the same quality. The pipe or profile can be narrow, so a very small measured PyroCube spot is ideal. If you change the matrix, you often need to adjust the sensor’s aiming angle, and LED illumination makes this very simple.

 

Electronics: PCB testing

Small components can heat up very quickly when testing circuit operation. The sensor can monitor the temperature of very small components and instantly read their surface temperature.

 

Food industry

The advanced top retention function is ideal for conveyor belts, especially in food production. With PyroCube, it is now possible to measure the temperature of thousands of individual objects every minute.
