FTS/KO-1 JOLA film moisture detector

Description

The FTS/KO-1 JOLA film moisture detector is a PCB film that can be mounted on copper pipes or metal substrates. The sensor or detector is supplied with a 3 metre connecting cable. Other lengths are available on request. To ensure proper operation without interference and a long lifetime of the detector or sensor, it is not recommended to expose it to hazardous or aggressive media, as this will damage or even destroy the sensor in some cases.

The FTS/KO-1 film sensor is a PCB film that can be bonded to a copper pipe or flat metal surface. The back of the film sensor is coated with an adhesive and a protective film.

The film sensor is equipped with parallel-oriented printed leads (sensitive surface) that are gold-plated for improved surface protection.

The sensor acts as a cell for measuring conductivity. Conductivity is measured by alternating current to avoid corrosion and polarisation effects.

The sensor comes with a 3 metre long thin white wire attached. Other lengths of connecting lines are available on request.

Care should always be taken to ensure that the sensitive surface of the sensor remains free of grease and is not treated with chemical substances, as these can severely impair or even completely destroy the functionality of the sensor.

The film sensor should be installed at the point on the cooling ceiling where moisture is most likely to occur.

One FTS/KO-1 film sensor can be connected to one KUR 5, KUR 5/G or KUR-L4 cold ceiling controller.
