DG – Michell dew point generator series

Description

The DG – Michell dew point generator series measures the dew point in the range -100 … +20 °Cdp and is suitable for the vast majority of calibrations. It is easy to operate with manual airflow mixing. The outputs provided respond quickly to changes in the measurement ranges.

Michell’s range of dew point generators provides flexibility and control at a competitive price. Based on volumetric mixing of dry and wet gases, instruments can be controlled analogue or automatic to suit a wide range of calibration applications.

For a complete dew point calibration system with optional compressor, dryer, dew point generator and ” chilled mirror” reference instrument, the complete DCS dew point calibration system is obtained. DG2

The DG2 has two gas flow mixing stages that allow it to produce dew points down to -75 °Cdp. It is characterised by its ease of use and flexibility in analogue generation of the exact target dew point. It does this by fine-tuning the gas mixture through its metering valves. Unrestricted mixing can be achieved within the working area.

DG3

It is an inlet, single-stage humidity mixing generator. It is operated by manually mixing two gas streams, using control valves. DG3 provides a flow rate of up to 5 Nl/min and generates dew points in the range -40 to +20 °Cdp.

DG4

It is a two-stage, push-button dew point generator that operates over a range of -75 to +20° Cdp. It is available with between 3 and 10 factory-set dew points, which can be selected from the front-panel keypad. Its RS232 communication allows further automation, especially when used in conjunction with a UKAS certified hygrometer. DG4 allows maximum flexibility with its pre-set values when combined with the mixing capability of DG3.

VDS3

It is a sophisticated computer-controlled dew point generator operating in the range -100 to +20 °Cdp. Individual three-stage mass flow controllers select precise proportions of wet and premixed air. Moisture injection is achieved by a mass flow controller and a controlled evaporation system. The Vapour Dispensing System (VDS) provides repeatable and flexible control of the generated dew point and can be programmed with up to 13 presets that can be activated manually or as part of an automatic calibration programme.
