The CPB3800HP high pressure dead weight tester from WIKA is designed for calibration laboratories for the purpose of testing, regulating and calibrating pressure measuring instruments.

Proven primary standard
The CPB3800HP High Pressure Dead Weight Tester is the most accurate instrument on the market for calibrating electronic or mechanical pressure measuring instruments. The direct measurement of pressure (p = F/A) and the use of high quality materials allow very low measurement uncertainty and excellent long-term stability. It has been used for years in factory and calibration laboratories in industry, national institutes and research laboratories.

Independent operation
The CPB3800HP is ideal for ON SITE use in maintenance and servicing applications due to its integrated pressure generation and purely mechanical measuring principle.

Basic principle
Pressure is defined as the quotient of force and area. The central component of the CPB3800HP is therefore a very precisely engineered piston-cylinder system on which a mass load is applied to create individual test points.
The masses used are proportional to the target pressure, which is achieved by optimally dosed masses. These masses are built to standard gravity (9.80665 m/s²) as standard, but can be customised to a specific location and calibrated (calibrated) to UKAS.
