Description

The iWU-20 ultra high purity pressure transducer for hazardous areas from WIKA is a device that detects pressure and converts it into an electrical signal, where the amount depends on the pressure or fluid.

Compact
With its small footprint, the iWU-2x is the most compact UHP converter on the market. This makes it optimally suited for applications with limited fixing space and it can be easily upgraded even in existing plants.

Reliable
The iWU-2x series combines state-of-the-art digital transducer concepts with analogue-like output signals to provide the safest and most accurate pressure measurement needed for today’s market demands.

The vacuum reference-based pressure measurement and electronic measures to protect against interference and to eliminate signal noise ensure high accuracy of the pressure measurement and excellent long-term stability.

Active temperature compensation reduces the impact of changing temperatures on the converter, allowing safe operation even in applications with high temperature fluctuations (e.g. Joule-Thomson effect in case of gas expansion) or in air-conditioned rooms.

The iWU-25 (flow) and iWU-26 (surface mount) transducers are specifically designed to withstand torsional stresses that often occur during installation. The special design of the thin-film sensor eliminates the risk of sensor failure due to stresses on the process connection or welded joints.

Versatile
The iWU-2x can be easily installed in indoor or outdoor systems, as well as in non-flammable or potentially flammable areas. The hermetically set zero-point “side access” with sealed IP67 ensures protection from ingress at all times during operation.

The iWU-2x series has been developed for pressure measurement in Ex-range 0. Temperature class T4 allows use with most special gases under explosion protection.
