F8800 weather cap-radiator for COMET weather sensors.

The F8800 multi-layer radiation shield is used to protect the measuring devices and provide more accurate measurement results. In doing so, it reduces (absorbs) the radiation from the sensor and maximises the airflow around the sensor. The enlarged diameter of 200 mm with 13 panels is designed to ensure full protection of the measuring device. Inside the panels, there is a cylindrical space with a diameter of 110 mm and a height of 185 mm for the installation of a measuring device with reduced solar radiation.

The F8800 has the advantage of being made of ASA plastic, which is resistant to mechanical damage and UV radiation. ASA plastics remain very stable over time. The transmitter is fully shielded inside a radiation shield with maximum diameter panels that provide advanced weather protection.
