E7 temperature-protected clutch is designed for DF rotary level switches.

Depending on the temperature, there are different clutch protection designs. For temperature ranges where the sensor and the sensor housing are exposed to temperatures of -45 °C … -25 °C, use the E7 version. The level switch with temperature-protected clutch is suitable for level measurement in silos of different sizes.

The material to be measured can be fine sand, granulate and stones up to a diameter of 100 mm. A level switch consists of a housing, a process connector and a sensor. The housing can be made of aluminium or stainless steel and are also available for Ex ranges. The enclosure is rated IP66.

The sensor rotates continuously. When the material level reaches the sensor, the sensor stops and sends a signal to the controller.
