Description

The DPG40 pressure gauge with integrated WIKA working pressure indication is used for pressure measurement of gaseous and liquid media.

The differential pressure gauges of the DELTA product family are mainly used for monitoring low differential pressures where there are high requirements for unilateral overload and static pressure.
Typical markets for these products are shipbuilding, process heating technology, the heating, ventilation and air-conditioning industry, the water and wastewater industry, and machine and plant construction. For these, the main task of the instrumentation is to control filters, compressors and pumps.

Often in these applications, in addition to the differential pressure, the instantaneous working pressure is also important. For the DPG40, a version with built-in working pressure indication is therefore available. Two easy-to-read mechanical displays allow simultaneous readings of the operating and differential pressures.

In addition, this saves on additional measuring and sealing points, thus reducing additional costs for piping and installation.

Due to the low range of 0 … 160 mbar, the instrument can also be used for applications with low differential pressures. Another key feature is the high accuracy of up to 1.6%, which is important for most applications.

Depending on the requirement and application, the measuring chamber can be made of aluminium or stainless steel. The stainless steel measuring chamber is also suitable for gaseous media due to its increased stability.

Operating principle of the DPG40

The display cabinet (1) is directly connected to the measuring chamber (2) and the process connections are integrated into it. The pressures p1 and p2 act on the media chambers ⊕ and ⊖, which are separated by an elastic membrane (3). The differential pressure (∆p = p1 – p2) leads to an axial deflection of the diaphragm towards the spring of the measuring range (4). The deformation proportional to the differential pressure is transmitted to the movement (7) in the casing via the pressure-tight sealing lever (6). Safety against overloading is ensured by metal supports (5) resting on an elastic membrane.
