ELPRO Lepenik & Co. d.o.o . (hereinafter referred to as the Company) respects your right to privacy and strives for the highest level of protection of your personal data. Therefore, when providing our services through this website, we are obliged to act in accordance with the laws and regulations governing the protection of personal data, in particular the Personal Data Protection Act, the Electronic Communications Act and the EU General Data Protection Regulation, as applicable from time to time. The purpose of this Privacy Statement is to inform you about the purposes for which your personal data will be collected, how it will be used and what your rights are in relation to the data we hold about you and how to exercise them.

The Company undertakes that the personal data collected and provided by you through the Website will be used in accordance with this Privacy Statement. It also undertakes not to sell, lend or otherwise disclose your personal data to third parties, except in the cases provided for by law.

Purpose of data processing and types of personal data

Any personal data you provide to us will be treated confidentially and will only be used for the purposes for which it was provided. If there is a need to further process your data for another purpose, we will contact you in advance and ask for your consent.

Whenever you visit the Company’s website, a log file of the web server is automatically stored on the web server (e.g. IP number – a number that identifies a particular computer or other device on the internet; browser version, time of visit, etc.). We process this data in order to keep statistics on visits to our website.

The Company does not process the data collected in this way separately and does not link it to other data.

The Company collects personal data of visitors on the basis of the Website for the purposes of sending enquiries, service or complaint requests, orders and registration. For this purpose, the Company collects the following information from you:

Retention period

We assure you that we will only keep your data for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purpose for which the individual data was collected and further used, namely:

  • Web server log files are kept for 3 (three) months;
  • demand data are kept until the end of the year following the last demand at the latest;
  • all data relating to the business cooperation and the concluded contract will be kept for 5 (five) years after the end of the cooperation under the concluded contract;
  • your contact data for the purpose of direct marketing is processed until you unsubscribe.

If there is a different retention period for certain data being processed (e.g. accounting or tax data), we will comply with the legal provisions.

How to protect your data

The Company is committed to protecting the personal data you provide to us by using our website. The Company will use its best endeavours to protect personal data from any breach and misuse.

We store personal data in computerised form. Our computer systems are protected by technical and organisational measures to prevent accidental or unlawful destruction, misuse, loss, alteration and unauthorised disclosure of, or access to, your personal data.

The server and the data on it are protected at several levels:

  • Access to the server is physically denied to anyone other than management and authorised persons. Software access is password-protected.
  • The server is protected from external intrusion by a hardware firewall, through which all Internet traffic is routed and monitored.
  • All computer equipment is powered by UPS devices, which provide power in times of mains blackouts.
  • The server is protected by an antivirus software.
  • The data on the discs is protected.
  • We carry out several types of backup.
  • A data backup is automatically performed by the software every day.
  • At least every 6 months, a backup is copied to your hard drive.

The Company shall ensure that you exercise all your rights to which you are entitled in relation to the processing of your personal data.

The Company undertakes to respond to requests from data subjects without undue delay and at the latest within the time limits prescribed by law.
