Temperature measurement and validation of the vaccine cooler

ELPRO offers you high quality temperature gauges to measure the temperature and at the same time validate your vaccine refrigerator.

Measuring the temperature of a refrigerator containing vaccines and/or medicines is crucial to meet cold chain regulations and pharmaceutical standards. The validation of the vaccine refrigerator and/or the validation of the medicinal product refrigerator shall be carried out in accordance with the requirements and provisions of the Regulation on the system for the reception, storage and traceability of medicinal products.

The guidelines say:

  • required temperature range for storage and transport of vaccines: between +2 °C and +8 °C
  • adequate monitoring, recording (every 10 min) and control of temperature

The MIN/MAX thermometer TMX 310 or TMX 320 with internal and external sensor is suitable for measurement where it is important that short fluctuations in temperature are not immediately detected when a change occurs. E.g. in a fridge whose door is opened and closed several times during the day.
