Level converters
The Submersible Pressure Transducer is a specially designed pressure sensor for hydrostatic level measurement in tanks, wells, shafts and boreholes. For this purpose, the submersible pressure transducer is immersed directly into the liquid to be measured and placed as close to the bottom as possible. There, a submersible pressure sensor measures the hydrostatic pressure, allowing a direct inference of the current level, i.e. the height of the liquid column above it.
WIKA level sensors provide continuous level sensing independent of physical and chemical changes in the medium, such as foaming, conductivity, dielectricity, pressure, vacuum, temperature, vapour, condensation, bubble formation, boiling effects and density change. Through the HART® interface, the interface layer and the whole level can be measured in parallel. The level can be displayed in proportion to height or volume. The process connection, the lead pipe and the float can be made of stainless steel 1.4571, 1.4435, 1.4539, titanium or various plastics.
