Description

The renewal, repair and modernisation of the control cabinet is reasonable when the rest of the system is in good condition, the cost of renewal does not exceed the cost of purchasing a new system, or a new system is not available. The most common cabinet refurbishments are on furnaces, annealing furnaces, homogenising furnaces and melting furnaces.

The great advantage of renewing the control of the furnace is to minimise product ejection due to inadequate temperature processes and to maintain the vitality of the furnace (too high a temperature causes the furnace to age).

The biggest contribution to reducing energy consumption is made by PID heating, which is used by all SHINKO controllers. By setting the correct PID parameters, the desired temperature is sensed to 0.1 °C (or 1 °C, depending on the display resolution set).

The most commonly used Shinko controllers for electric furnace refurbishments are the BCx, PCB and PCA series, and for gas furnaces the so-called ACD-15 and ACR-15 servo controllers. Temperature sensors and installation are replaced as necessary, which often makes sense to maximise energy efficiency. At the user’s request, the system is further calibrated, especially if the user follows CQI directives.

In larger systems, we often add a temperature limiter DCL-33A-R/M, DI-T7887. In the event of a temperature exceedance due to a failure of the power section, temperature sensor or control section, the limiter will shut down the power section of the control, preventing further damage to the system and destruction of products.
