Description
The OLS-5200 is an optical level switch used for liquid level monitoring in the shipbuilding industry. The sensor consists of an infrared LED and a light receiver.
The light from the LED is udirected into the prism, forming the tip of the sensor. As long as the tip is not immersed in liquid, the light in the prism is reflected to the receiver.
When the liquid in the container rises and circles the tip, the liquid refracts the light beam, so that the light no longer reaches the receiver or reaches it only weakly, and responds to this change by, to start the switchover process.
OLS-5200 is b developed for the uconsumption in marine applications, which is why it is physically designed to, to be particularly resistant to vibration and udonor.
