HFM53 ROTRONIC relative humidity and temperature transmitter

Description

The HFM53 ROTRONIC relative humidity and temperature transmitter is a 3-wire transmitter designed for fixed installation in outdoor applications and high measurement accuracy. Ideal for outdoor use, it has a robust housing and a connector for the HC2-S3 interchangeable probe.

The housing is made of aluminium alloy and is treated to withstand all the elements of the marine environment. The sensor is separated from the transducer by a sunlight-resistant cable (l = 3m), terminating in a waterproof connector.

 

Main features of HFM53

• designed for use with the HC2-S3 plug-in humidity and temperature probe
• provides two analogue output signals (voltage or current) for measurements:
  • Relative humidity: range can vary, standard configuration 0 … 100% RH
  • the temperature range is flexible, typically -40 … 60 °C
  • calculation of parameters: dew point, enthalpy, mixing ratio, … (psychrometric parameters: the range can be scaled)
• the signals are linear and can be transmitted by cable to a remote display, recorder, controller or data processing unit

It is optimal for meteorological applications.

The operating temperature range is -50 … 100 °C and it can measure humidity in the range 0 … 100% RH.

Digital signal processing ensures consistent performance and facilitates maintenance in the field, with features such as potentiometer-free digital calibration, probe changing while the systems are in operation.
