Description
The HC2A-S-HH sensor for measuring relative humidity and temperature calculates the dew point with high accuracy.
The HC2A-S-HH precision relative humidity and temperature sensor is suitable for use inH2O2(hydrogen peroxide) environments.
Sterilisation with hydrogen peroxide
Hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) is used to sterilise clean rooms, incubators and other equipment. In these applications, the air is saturated by gassing or spraying, causing microfilm to form on all surfaces. Hydrogen peroxide kills all micro-organisms. TheH2O2is then either mechanically processed or allowed to decompose naturally into harmlessH2Oor O2 within 48 hours. The level of humidity during application is crucial for the effectiveness of the process.
Standard humidity sensors have difficulty measuring accurately in environments with highH2O2concentrations. Hydrogen peroxide inhibits the measurement of water vapour by occupying the pores on the sensor surface. For this reason, ROTRONIC has developed the HYGROMER® HH-1 sensor, which is compatible with the HC2A-S-HH sensor.
The lifetime of the HC2A-S-HH precision relative humidity and temperature sensor is much longer compared to standard sensors for these applications.
