Description
The DF28 rotary level switch is suitable for level measurement in silos of different sizes. It has the option of extending the protective hose up to 6,000 mm. The DF28 level switch consists of a housing, a process connector and a hose or sensor. The housing can be made of aluminium or stainless steel and they are also supplied for Ex areas (dust and gas). The enclosure is rated IP66. The Process Connector is available in threaded, flanged or quick coupling versions. The sensor rotates continuously. When the material level reaches the sensor, the sensor stops and sends a signal to the controller.

Application DF28
The DF28 is a rotary level switch for level measurement with a protection tube for bulk (loose material) such as powder, granulate, fine and coarse grains. In a variety of applications, the DF28 reliably and accurately displays maximum or minimum filling levels. It is therefore used in a wide range of industries:
- High level detector in talcum powder hopper in cosmetics production
- a device for monitoring the level of burnt wood dust in the ash container up to 500 °C
- variable fullness indicator with height adjustment in the dosing tank for the food industry
- Cereal silo fullness detector for large cereal mills
- Fullness detector in silos filled with additives for tablet production
