Description
DF21 level switch, is used for most bulk materials (solid particles) in level control, full, empty or on demand, in silos, tanks and containers. The sensors can be adapted to the requirements of a wide range of applications with a limited number of options and accessories. A level switch consists of a housing, a process connector and a vane (measuring wing). The housing can be made of aluminium or stainless steel and can also be supplied for Ex (dust) areas. The enclosure is rated IP66.

Application of DF21
The DF21 is a rotary level switch for bulk loads such as dust, granulate, fine and coarse grains. In a variety of applications, the DF21 reliably and accurately displays minimum or maximum filling levels. It is therefore used in a wide range of industries:
- complete detector with separating element in the wood burning chamber
- level control for monitoring ship charging equipment
- an indicator of the emptiness of the bulk storage in a reactor in a potentially explosive atmosphere
- material jam detector in vertical discharge pipe with integrated side part in paper mill
- low level indicator for fertiliser in the pre-filler of the bagger
- perfect oven indicator for granular plastics up to 200 °C
- perfect detector in the milk powder dispenser
- complete indicator with separating element in a 5 bar pressure vessel for pneumatic conveying of different raw materials into the reactor, used in the explosive dust area
- complete detector by flushing the annular slot in the intermediate container after homogenisation with moist and highly adhesive materials for animal feed production
- indicator of fullness and emptiness in a bulk storage system for compound feed production
