CPA2501 test display (indicator) for WIKA air data

Description

The CPA2501 test display (indicator) for WIKA air data is used in aerospace applications for the calibration of altimeters and speed indicators, it displays altitude, speed, airspeed (vertical speed) and rate of speed (acceleration). It is used wherever a high degree of accuracy is required in an airborne display (indicator) or calibration device.

Functional flexibility
The CPA2501 can be configured with an altitude channel and an airspeed channel consisting of Ps/Pt or Ps/Qc. It can be configured as a single-channel altitude/altitude display (Ps only), a single-channel airspeed/altitude display (Qc only) or it can be a dual-channel unit configured as Ps/Pt or Ps/Qc. In the Ps/Pt version, the airspeed/velocity channel is a calculated channel. The optional barometer can be installed for display on the front panel or as a separate channel. The pressure range for each channel can be specified by the customer.

The versions of CPA2501 are as follows:

• Ps (Altitude version)
• Qc (speed version)
• Ps/Qc with dummy Pt channel
• Ps/Pt with dummy Qc channel

An optional barometric sensor can be added to any version.

Communications
A manual user interface is available via a wide touchscreen. Navigating the intuitive menu structure is easy to learn. The recognisable icons open the configuration and calibration screens when touched. Communication with a remote computer is possible via Ethernet, RS-232 or optional IEEE-488 communication. The commands used for communication are the same as in the previous version of Mensor’s avionics instrumentation models 2108 and 2109 or WIKA’s SCPI command set.
