2240 3740 temperature probe for temperature measurement in compost, humus, silage materials

Description

2240 3740 is ELPRO’s special version of the temperature sensor for measuring the temperature in compost, humus, silage (silos), etc. The sensor is made to the user’s desired length, with one or more temperature measurement levels. Most commonly, one level is measured, usually at the bottom of the tip. The sensor is a robust, extra strong stainless steel design, so that it can be pushed into compost, humus or other silage layers with the T-handle.

 

Basic version

• The 2240 3740 needle-punch temperature sensor is based on a resistive sensor and is connected to precision thermometers, e.g. TFX 430 or TFX 420.
• 
  2230 4430
  The temperature sensor is based on thermocouple and is connected to industrial thermometers, e.g. TFN 520.

The two versions of the temperature sensors are visually similar, it is important to know whether they are fast and frequent measurements (2230 4430) or less frequent and precise measurements (2240 3740).

In use, temperatures between -50 and 100 °C are common, but versions allow much more, so no temperature limits are imposed. The most common sensor lengths are 1000 mm, and in increments of 1000 to 6000 mm, with intermediate lengths available.

The designs themselves are always adapted to the user’s wishes, from the length and shape of the handles, connections, gauges(thermometer, datalogger, display, etc.). Adaptation does not mean paying more. These versions are always made to order and can be highly customisable, even in different price frames. The most important thing is results, reliability and longevity.

Calibration

Temperature sensors can be calibrated after manufacture and supplied with an accredited calibration certificate.
